Calgary Community
Paddle Club

Welcome to Calgary Community Paddle Club,

where we aren't just about the float.

I believe the great outdoors is a canvas of possibilities for everyone, regardless of age, experience, or background. Whether you're new to the city and want to connect with like minded people, or you're a seasoned paddler seeking new adventures, the club is your gateway to freedom, fitness, and fun. With open arms and open waters, I invite you to join myself and my team to learn new skills and support a local charity all from the joy of paddle boarding.

Come make a splash with me and the team!

What The Club Entails

The club is a social network for a lot of people. It is a safe place to get out on the water, if you are not confident. It is also a place where you can learn new skills and safety information from Paddle Canada Instructors. There will NOT be a set skill learning program, as I want this to be flexible and approachable for every body. Everything will be taught on a per request basis. I do recommend that every body has at least been on a paddleboard, or completed the basic skills lesson with somebody.

Please note, when I say every body is welcome, that also includes your children - human or pets.

When out paddle boarding with the club, you must wear a leash and PFD.

There will be an end of season event with a raffle, food and drinks.

Where The Club Meets

The club will meet in two different locations every week starting from Tuesday 28th May 2024

(weather dependent - an email will be sent to those already signed up/notice on Facebook page).

You can meet on both nights or just the one night each week.

Season will end in October 2024 (weather dependent).

Tuesday - 6:30pm - Carburn Park, SE Calgary - meet by main lake (may change to Bowness)

Wednesday - 7pm - Ghost Lake, Cochrane (Campground side) - meet in car park

The Cost For Signing Up

Those that are very close to me, know how important it is for me to create a safe and welcoming space for people to be a part of. With this in mind, I have chosen a local charity called STAND.A.S.A. to donate 50% of the fee to. Stand.A.S.A. provide peer support to survivors of sexual assault and prevent sexual violence through education, and promote healing through holistic healing practices. You can read more about the charity via their website - https://standasa.com/about-2/who-we-are/

With 50% ($30 per person) going to charity, you maybe thinking what do I get for the other $30?
